Forging, Ceramics and Glass Blowing
We are happy to be able to present our skilled artisans, which
have their workshops at Högbo Bruk. A visit is a
must.
Johan- the Blacksmith
In the old blacksmith's workshop, Johan Sandström, works like
blacksmiths always have. With glowing coal in the stove, anvil,
tong, and sledgehammer in hand, he creates artistic works - like
candle holders, chandelers and jewelry. Johan, the blacksmith, also
holds courses for groups.
The Ceramic Gallery
In the Ceramic Gallery, located right next to the Högbo Mill,
you will find Margareta Persson. Margareta works with rocks,
figurative ceramics, and unique natural objects. During May through
September, art exhibits are found in her gallery.
Steijner Studio Glass Hut
In beautiful Övre Hammaren (Upper Hammer), right by the damn,
glass blower Björn Steijner produces and sells mouth blown glass.
Historically, iron was manufactured here, but today, it is the
glass that is glowing in the hut. The colorful artwork shines out
through the windows towards the water.
