Bessemer Race

We charge before Vasaloppet with the Bessemeroppet - a classic cross-country ski race at Högbo Ski Arena. The Bessemer race is the seeding ground for Vasaloppet and Tjejvasan and always runs two weeks before Vasaloppet. Both competition and exercise classes are available.

How does it affect me not to participate in the race?

Saturday 15/2: The majority of the trail system will be open to the public. The artificial snow trail is only closed right around the ski stadium and on the ski cross course from 13.00.

Sunday 16/2: The regular track system (all natural snow trails and the artificial snow track) will be closed from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for the Bessemer race. It is excellent to ski before and after it. If there is plenty of natural snow, we also make a temporary track on the golf course for the public.
