Sigrid's Pasture
Our rabbits, ducks, goats, alpacas, and other gentle animals live in Sigrid's Pasture. Many different animals reside in the Small Animal Park, often roaming freely together in the large, lush enclosure. While some animals are occasionally kept in their own paddocks, the ones you are most likely to encounter and pet are Gestrike sheep, African pygmy goats, Hedemora chickens, turkeys, and Swedish Blue ducks. The alpacas sometimes spend time here as well, though you can often find them in their own enclosure near the Open-Air Museum or the Sports Hill. In the Small Animal Park, you can also see rabbits, quail, ponies, and miniature pigs, all of which have their own enclosures adjacent to the park. When quail chicks hatch, you can see them through the large windows of the quail house—they are incredibly small and cute!
