Winter Break Program

Quiz Walk in the Park

Challenge your knowledge with a fun quiz walk for all ages. Every day, a prize is drawn among the participants. Pick up your answer sheet at Sigrid’s Cottage, the Playground, Gårdshandeln, Gruvstugan, the Food Truck or the Kiosk.
Return it to Gårdshandeln between 10:00 and 16:00. Don’t forget to bring your own pen.
Winners are announced daily at 16:00 in Gårdshandeln.

Try Pottery

Create your own bowl or mug. At the pottery workshop, both children and adults can try wheel throwing under the guidance of Lisa Ceder. No previous experience is required. Each session lasts 30–40 minutes. Lisa handles the glazing and firing, and you can collect your finished piece after about eight weeks.

Up to four people can throw at the same time. Book in advance via hogbodrejeri@gmail.com or drop in if space allows.

Try the Climbing Wall

Try out the climbing wall at a special winter break price. A fun and active challenge for anyone who enjoys movement and balance.

Visit the Old Manor House

Step into the historic Old Manor House from 1739 and learn more about Högbo’s rich history. Our guide will be on hand to answer your questions.

Horse and Carriage Rides

Enjoy a cosy ride through the beautiful Högbo grounds. The carriage and our calm draft horses will take you past alleys, open fields and historic buildings.

Blacksmithing for Kids

Experience fire, iron and craft. In the old smithy, children can try traditional blacksmithing and create a unique item to bring home.

Ice Fishing

If the weather and ice conditions allow, we’ll prepare holes in the ice so you can try your hand at ice fishing. Bring your own equipment, warm clothing and something to sit on.
Please note: All fishing is at your own risk. Always use safety equipment and fish with a companion.

Price: Free for children up to 15 years. Older children and adults need a fishing permit.

Track the Animal Prints

Can you figure out which animals left the tracks? A guessing game is posted outside the Smådjursparken and is available any time during the day.

Högbo Ski Arena — cross-country skiing

Högbo Ski Arenas cross-country ski trail suitable as well for skate as for classic style. Here you and the whole family can enjoy wonderful skiing in a slightly brighter winter landscape for sports holidays.

As Official Vasaloppscenter you can be sure to experience well-groomed ski trails of the highest class. Feel the speed increase on the flack and test your lactic acid resistance on hilly terrain. behold current track status here.

Excitingly, Högbo Ski Arena also has a 450 meter long Ski Cross Course for those who enjoy playful challenges.

Beginners on skis?

Have you been skiing for a long time or have you never been on a pair? It settles. Högbo Ski Arena's experienced instructors will help you get started with your technique training and share their best herding tips. Skis and everything related are of course available for rent on site.

Weekend package with cross-country skiing

Treat yourself to something extra and book into our popular skier packages.

In the skier package you and your company are welcomed with coffee and bread from our own bakery. Next, a well-prepared and filling four-course dinner made with organic and locally produced ingredients awaits you. Then we just have to look forward to dessert.

After a good night's sleep in our comfortable rooms just head out into the ski trails — after the bracing breakfast buffet of course.

Childish fun in sledding

Skis may not be for everyone. But the fact that Högbo Bruk's 100-meter sledding hill always leads to lively laughter and lovely smiles — we have been aware of that for a long time. A fun and appropriate outdoor activity for the whole family that can be combined with sausage grilling next to the large wind shelter. All are welcome in the sleigh back which is illuminated until 23:00.
